Go Green Get Real

  • Real trees are a renewable recyclable resource.  Artificial trees contain non-biodegradable plastics and possible metal toxins such as lead.
  • An acre of Christmas trees produces the daily oxygen for 18 people and takes 4 tons of carbon out of the atmosphere each year.  For every real Christmas tree that is harvested up to 3 seedlings are planted.
  • The farms that grow Christmas trees stabilize soil, protect water supplies and provide refuge for wildlife while creating scenic greenbelts.
  • North American real Christmas trees are grown in 50 states and Canada.  80% of artificial trees worldwide are manufactured in China, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
