Wolcyn Tree Farms has 600 acres in East Central MN specifically devoted to growing high quality Christmas trees. Tom harvested and sold his first Christmas tree over 40 years ago, and the tradition continues to this day. We provide trees to retailers in eight different states throughout the Midwest along with our own retail lots and choose n cut farm. We grow six different types of Christmas trees including Balsam Fir, Canaan Fir, Fraser Fir, Scotch Pine, White Pine, and Colorado Spruce.
Types of Christmas trees
Balsam Fir: Our most popular tree for the last fifteen years. It has short soft needles, a great aroma, and supports ornaments well. The needle retention is good when properly cared for.
Fraser Fir: Our most beautiful tree with its silvery blue underside and soft rounded needles. It has extraordinary needle retention holding up well past six weeks inside the house. Once you've had a Fraser Fir, you'll never go back to anything else!
Canaan Fir: Our newest tree it has some characteristics of both the Balsam and Fraser Fir. It has a bright future in the industry.
Scotch Pine: A bushy and full tree with medium lengthed needles. It has very sturdy branches perfect for holding heavy ornaments. Most affordably priced of all our trees.
White Pine: The traditional Christmas tree with its long soft needles. They have straight trunks and good needle retention along with the traditional pine fragrance.
Colorado Spruce: It has beautiful foliage ranging from deep green to silver blue. The needles are short and very sharp to the touch. It has the widest, sturdiest branches making it great for heavy ornaments.
